Messiah Leadership

The People of God are the ministers of this Church.  

They are served by their Priest-in-Charge, The Rev Dr John Sorensen and the Bishop of South Carolina, the Right Reverend Ruth Woodliff-Stanley.  They are also served by the Revd George Welles and the Revd Jim Craig as Priest Associates. The Vestry offers guidance, missional direction and Godly counsel; they are David E. Martin (’23), Patty Lauth Tate (’22), John H. Manley (’24), Richard B. Stall (’24), O. Allen Jeffcoat (’22) and Monica Orosz (’23)  The Ministry of the Vestry is supported by Richard B. Stall as Senior Warden, John H. Manley as Junior Warden, George C. (Skip) Williams, Jr, as Treasurer, Pat Patterson as Secretary and Charles Jordan as Advisor to the Vestry.  The Music Ministry is served by Dr. Charles Jones Evans.

Pictured is the delegation from the Church of the Messiah at the diocesan convention. We were admitted into union with the Episcopal Church in South Carolina, November, 2014.
